Peru is considered one of the least inclusive countries worldwide.We have more than a million and a half people with visual disabilities who suffer from it every day, 60% of them are children.
Santillana, the leading publisher and Megaplaza, the larget shopping center in Perú, decide to create a special edition of books, the only one in the world on favor of the inclusion of children with visual disabilities.
The WONDERFUL BOOK FOR SHARING is The first literary edition that unites two children with different abilities.
With one side printed in ink and the other in braille, our book can only be finished if both come together to read it. This is how we turn reading into a tool to break down barriers and make thousands of students with visual disabilities feel that they are taken into account and that they are considered by society.
This initiative will become a series of different books in order to have a better, more inclusive future.
